Crypto Casino Ireland: Best Bitcoin & Crypto Casinos for 2026
Compare Bitcoin and crypto casinos that accept Irish players: coins, payout speed, bonus terms and licences, plus what Irish law and Revenue say about crypto gambling.
Quick answer: A crypto casino is an online casino that takes deposits and pays withdrawals in cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) or Tether (USDT). Adults aged 18 and over in Ireland can sign up at crypto casinos, but the ones open to Irish players are licensed offshore, usually in Curaçao or Anjouan, not by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI). You get fast crypto payouts and more coins to choose from, but you give up Irish complaint routes and Irish-run protections. Gambling winnings are not taxed in Ireland, but disposing of crypto can trigger 33% Capital Gains Tax.

Crypto casinos we checked but didn’t list
We also checked other well-known crypto casinos. One names Ireland as a prohibited country in its own terms, one names no gambling licence at all and links to VPN instructions, and for two we couldn’t verify a current welcome offer on their own sites. We only list casinos that pass every check.
How we rank crypto casinos for Irish players
Most crypto casino lists rank by the size of the bonus. We rank by what you can verify and what you keep. A casino has to pass the first two checks to be listed at all.
- A licence you can check. The casino must name its licensing authority and its legal company, and the licence must show as valid on the regulator’s own website or official validator. We checked every casino on this page that way on 15 October 2026. Casinos with no verifiable licence are not listed.
- Ireland is allowed in its terms. Many offshore casinos list restricted countries in their terms. If Ireland is restricted, or a VPN is needed, the casino is out.
- Payout speed and limits. How withdrawals are approved, the published daily and monthly limits, any withdrawal fees, and whether large withdrawals trigger extra checks.
- Fair bonus terms. Wagering, maximum cashout, maximum bet, expiry and which coins count towards the bonus. See our bonus terms guide for what each one means.
- Coins and networks. Bitcoin, Ethereum and at least one stablecoin, ideally on low-fee networks such as Tron, Solana or the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
- Player tools. Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion inside the account, plus provably fair verification for in-house games.
The ranking is editorial. We may earn a commission when you join through some links. That never moves a casino above one with fairer terms, and we only publish offers we have checked against the casino’s own terms.
What is a crypto casino?
A crypto casino is an online casino that accepts cryptocurrency for deposits and withdrawals instead of, or as well as, cards and bank transfers. You send coins from your wallet to a deposit address the casino gives you, the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, and the casino credits your balance. Withdrawals work the same way in reverse: the casino sends coins to a wallet address you provide.
There are two main types of online crypto casino:
- Crypto-only casinos hold your balance in crypto or a dollar-pegged stablecoin, often show games in USD, and usually feature in-house “originals” such as crash, dice and plinko.
- Hybrid casinos take both euro payment methods and crypto. They tend to look like a standard online casino, with crypto added as a payment option.
The games are mostly the same slots, live casino and table games you find elsewhere. What changes is the payment rail, the licence and the protections that come with it.
Is crypto gambling legal in Ireland?
Gambling online is legal for adults aged 18 and over in Ireland, and owning cryptocurrency is legal too. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 set up the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), which is bringing in new licences in phases. During the transition, the GRAI says existing gaming licences still run through the Revenue Commissioners.
The catch for crypto players: we have not found any GRAI- or Revenue-licensed casino that accepts crypto deposits. Every crypto casino Ireland players can join is licensed somewhere else, most often Curaçao or Anjouan, and sometimes Tobique in Canada. We also could not find any crypto-specific gambling rule published by the GRAI.
What changes when you play at an offshore crypto casino instead of an Irish-licensed one:
| Irish-licensed online casino | Offshore crypto casino | |
|---|---|---|
| Regulator | GRAI (betting) and Revenue, plus an EU gaming licence for casino games | Curaçao, Anjouan or another offshore authority |
| Complaints | Operator, then Irish or EU regulator | Operator, then the offshore regulator only |
| Self-exclusion | Operator tools, and Irish schemes as they launch | Only the casino’s own tools |
| Payments | Euro: card, bank, e-wallets | Crypto, sometimes cards too |
| Payout speed | Depends on payment method and verification | Can be minutes on fast networks, once approved |
| Bonuses | Usually smaller headline offers | Larger headline offers, often with tougher terms |
The GRAI has warned that gambling with an unlicensed site removes the protections a regulated market provides, and Irish media have reported sites using fake licences to target Irish players. If you want the Irish-licensed route, our best online casinos in Ireland ranking covers it, and our Irish licensing guide shows how to read a licence.
Do you pay tax on crypto casino winnings in Ireland?
Not on the winnings themselves. Irish players do not pay income tax on ordinary gambling winnings; the tax falls on operators through betting duty. Crypto adds a second layer, though, because Revenue treats crypto-assets like any other asset for Capital Gains Tax (CGT).
- CGT rate: 33% on chargeable gains.
- Annual exemption: the first €1,270 of an individual’s total gains each year is exempt.
- Spending crypto is a disposal. Revenue’s own example treats paying for goods with crypto as a disposal. Sending crypto to a casino is likely to be treated the same way, so a gain since you bought the coins can be taxable.
- Records: keep a record of every purchase, deposit and withdrawal (date, amount, euro value) for six years.
Example: you buy 0.01 BTC for €500. Months later, when it is worth €700, you deposit it at a crypto casino. That deposit is likely a disposal with a €200 gain. If that is your only gain this year, it falls within the €1,270 exemption and no CGT is due. Larger or repeated gains add up quickly.
EU reporting rules (DAC8) also require crypto exchanges to report users’ transactions to tax authorities from 2026, so assume Revenue can see your exchange activity. This is general information, not tax advice; speak to a tax adviser if you move larger amounts.
Best cryptocurrencies for online casinos
The best coin for casino deposits is the one with low fees and quick confirmations on the network your casino supports. Speed below is the network’s typical block or confirmation interval; casinos may wait for several confirmations before crediting you.
| Coin | Typical network speed | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | About 10 minutes per block; near-instant on Lightning where supported | Widest support at every Bitcoin casino | Slow and costly when the network is busy |
| Ethereum (ETH) | About 12 seconds per block | Wide support; works with wallets such as MetaMask | Gas fees can spike |
| Tether (USDT) | Depends on network: Tron (TRC-20) is fast and cheap | A balance that doesn’t swing with crypto prices | Pegged to the US dollar, not the euro; the network must match |
| USD Coin (USDC) | Depends on network | Stable balance, widely issued | Also dollar-pegged; fewer casinos than USDT |
| Litecoin (LTC) | About 2.5 minutes per block | Cheap, quick deposits | Price volatility |
| Solana (SOL) | Under a second per slot | Very fast, very low fees | Supported at fewer casinos |
| Dogecoin (DOGE) | About 1 minute per block | Low fees | High volatility |
Tether, USDC and the euro
Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC hold their value against the US dollar, not the euro. For an Irish player that means your balance still moves with the euro-dollar exchange rate. Euro stablecoins such as EURC exist, but few casinos accept them yet. If you play with USDT, the most common tether casino setup is the Tron network, but always send on exactly the network the casino’s deposit page names. Coins sent on the wrong network are usually lost.
Crypto casino bonuses explained
The best crypto casino bonus is not the biggest one; it is the one with terms you can realistically clear. Crypto casinos advertise larger headline offers than Irish-licensed casinos, but the conditions are often tougher.
Welcome deposit bonuses
A Bitcoin casino bonus usually matches a percentage of your first deposit, sometimes across several deposits. Check the wagering multiple, the maximum cashout and whether the bonus is calculated in BTC, USD or euro.
Free spins
Bitcoin casino free spins are credited on named slots at a fixed value per spin. Spins with no wagering on winnings are worth far more than spins with 40× wagering.
Rakeback, cashback and VIP rewards
Many crypto casinos return a share of the house edge on every bet (rakeback) or a percentage of net losses (cashback). For regular players these are often worth more than the welcome bonus, because they usually carry little or no wagering.
Crypto casino no deposit bonuses
True no deposit bonuses are rare at crypto casinos and come with small cashout caps. Treat any “free crypto” offer that asks for a wallet connection or seed phrase as a scam.
Before you claim any offer, check five things: wagering, maximum cashout, maximum bet while the bonus is active, expiry, and whether a VPN or “bonus abuse” clause could void your winnings. Our bonus terms guide explains each one.
Instant withdrawal crypto casinos: how fast are payouts?
“Instant withdrawal” usually means the casino approves withdrawals automatically below a set amount. The total time has three parts:
- Approval: automatic at some casinos, manual review at others. First withdrawals and large amounts are the most likely to be held for checks.
- Network time: seconds on Solana or Tron, minutes on Litecoin, and up to an hour or more on Bitcoin when the network is busy.
- Your wallet or exchange: some exchanges wait for extra confirmations before showing the coins.
Most casinos on our list also require you to wager each deposit once before you can withdraw it. To get paid fastest, verify your account before you need to withdraw, use the same coin and network you deposited with, and stay within the casino’s daily limit.
No-KYC crypto casinos: what Irish players should know
A no-KYC crypto casino lets you sign up and deposit without uploading ID. Searches for “crypto casino no KYC Ireland” are common, but there are two things to know first:
- “No KYC” rarely means never. Most casinos’ terms let them ask for ID at any time, typically before a large withdrawal or when anti-money-laundering checks flag an account. If you can’t verify, your withdrawal can be held.
- No checks cut both ways. A casino that doesn’t verify age or identity also can’t reliably enforce self-exclusion or keep under-18s out.
The practical answer is to treat KYC as likely, keep your details accurate and verify early, so a big win isn’t frozen.
How to start at a crypto casino from Ireland
- Buy crypto from an authorised exchange. In the EU, crypto exchanges need authorisation under the MiCA rules. Check the Central Bank of Ireland or the European register before you sign up. Some exchanges restrict transfers to gambling sites, so read their terms.
- Move it to a wallet you control. A self-custody wallet (MetaMask for Ethereum and its tokens, or a wallet that supports your chosen coin) lets you send and receive casino payments directly.
- Copy the casino’s deposit address and match the network. Send a small test amount first.
- Set a deposit limit in the account before you play, and think about it in euro, not in coins.
- Withdraw to the same wallet and record the euro value on the day, for Revenue.
Best crypto wallet for gambling
The best crypto wallet for gambling is one you control (not an exchange account), that supports the networks your casino uses and that shows full transaction history for your tax records. Never share your seed phrase. No casino or support agent will ever need it.
Crypto casino games
Crypto slots
Crypto slots are the same titles from the same studios you find at any online casino, played with a crypto balance. Want to try a slot first? Our free slots library has demos with virtual credits.
Crash games
In a crypto casino crash game, a multiplier climbs from 1× until it “crashes” at a random point. You cash out before the crash to win your stake times the multiplier. Rounds take seconds, which makes losses add up fast.
Provably fair games
Provably fair games publish a cryptographic hash of each round’s outcome before you bet. Afterwards you can check that the result matched the hash and wasn’t changed. It proves a round wasn’t altered; it doesn’t change the house edge.
Bitcoin live casino
Live roulette, blackjack and baccarat are streamed with a real dealer, and many Bitcoin live casino lobbies use the same studios as euro casinos. Check whether live games count towards bonus wagering. Often they don’t.
New crypto casinos: how to check one before you deposit
New crypto casinos launch every month, and they are the hardest to vet. Before you deposit at one:
- Find the licence number and legal company name in the footer, and check both on the regulator’s own website.
- Read the restricted-countries list in the terms. If Ireland is on it, you won’t be paid.
- Check the withdrawal limits, fees and verification rules before the bonus terms.
- Make a small deposit and a small withdrawal first.
If any of these can’t be confirmed, don’t deposit.
Play safely with crypto
Crypto can feel less like real money, and coin prices move while you play. Set your limits in euro, use the casino’s deposit limits and time-outs, and remember that offshore casinos are not covered by Irish self-exclusion arrangements. Our safer gambling page lists free, confidential support in Ireland. 18+ only.
Crypto casino Ireland: FAQs
What is the best crypto casino in Ireland?
Winnerz appears first in this list; read its review for the unconfirmed Irish offer and licence-expiry caveat. Cloudbet offers up to $2,500 welcome package with no rollover on rewards, 30+ coins and an Active Curaçao licence. BitStarz, Shuffle, Winna and BC.Game complete the comparison. Every crypto casino and Bitcoin casino in our ranking is licensed offshore, has a licence you can verify and accepts Irish players in its terms.
Are crypto casinos legal in Ireland?
Adults aged 18 and over can play at online casinos in Ireland. Crypto casinos that accept Irish players are licensed outside Ireland, usually in Curaçao or Anjouan, so Irish regulator protections don’t apply to them.
Is crypto allowed in Ireland?
Yes. Buying, holding and selling cryptocurrency is legal in Ireland. Exchanges serving Irish customers need EU authorisation under the MiCA rules, and gains are subject to Capital Gains Tax.
Do you pay tax on crypto in Ireland?
Yes, on gains. Revenue charges Capital Gains Tax at 33% when you dispose of crypto at a gain, after an annual exemption of €1,270. Spending crypto, including sending it to a casino, can count as a disposal.
Are crypto casino winnings taxed in Ireland?
Gambling winnings themselves are not taxed for recreational players in Ireland. Any rise in the value of the crypto you win and later sell can be liable to Capital Gains Tax.
Which crypto game pays real money?
Any real-money game at a crypto casino, including slots, crash, dice and live casino, pays out in crypto that you can withdraw. No game pays reliably: every casino game has a house edge.
Which crypto casinos have instant withdrawals?
Shuffle says 90% of its withdrawals arrive in under a minute, and BitStarz aims to pay within an hour. Casinos with automatic approval below a set limit can pay in minutes on fast networks such as Tron, Solana or Litecoin. First withdrawals and large amounts are often reviewed manually.
Can I play at a crypto casino without KYC in Ireland?
Some crypto casinos let you deposit without ID, but nearly all reserve the right to ask for it before a withdrawal. Verify early so winnings aren’t held.
What is the best cryptocurrency for online casinos?
For speed and low fees, USDT on Tron, Litecoin or Solana. For the widest support, Bitcoin. Stablecoins such as USDT keep your balance steady but are tied to the US dollar, not the euro.
Are there crypto casino no deposit bonuses?
They exist but are rare, small and usually capped. Never connect your wallet to, or share a seed phrase with, a site promising free crypto.
What does provably fair mean?
Provably fair games publish a cryptographic hash of each result before you play, so you can verify afterwards that the outcome wasn’t changed. It doesn’t remove the house edge.
